Doc Shebeleza (born 1972 or 1973), formally Victor Bogopane, is a legendary kwaito musician and businessman. He has dropped many hits with Skumfete, Ebumnandini, and Ghets Ghetsa on the best known.

Since he stopped the music, Doc Shebeleza focused on helping others. Though he has been off the limelight for some time, he has helped many underprivileged South Africans. He has done giveaways and has worked with other celebrities to build houses for those in need.

Early Life

Victor Bogopane was born in Soweto, a township in Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality in Gauteng. 

Career

Doc Shebeleza has dropped many hits like Ngakara, Ebumnandini, and Ngwazi. His songs never grow old, and listeners still appreciate his tracks. 

Shebeleza decided to stop making music and channel his focus to other things. He still holds performances and headlined a show to honor Zola 7.

Though he quit his music career when he was at his peak, Doc focused on other projects he had a passion for. He featured Cassper on his last song recorded since the beginning of his kwaito career, Monate So.

Philanthropy

Apart from music, Doc is a passionate philanthropist. His organization is African Musicians Against HIV-AIDS (AMAHA). They have built over 400 houses all over South Africa.

The organization works with other legendary artists. He started by donating wheelchairs to people in need of them. 

Personal Life

Doc Shebeleza is ready to marry his girlfriend after being with her for ten years. He wants to settle down and make her his wife. His family is aware of his plans to be a married man. He is ready to send his uncles to the family of his baby mama to negotiate lobola soon.

Self-control against bad habits like drug and alcohol abuse has helped him achieve longevity. However, his only weakness was the ladies. He lives with his family at his home in Fairlands, Johannesburg.

In January 2020, some sources spread false rumors about him. The Kwaito legend rubbished claims “he is dead” or “in hospital.” He told the Daily Sun that he was alive, healthy, and sexually active.
